Tech geek interested in technology in general and Linux / Unix in particular , with a special taste for Red Hat and Debian based systems , always eager to learn and able to multitask between several tasks. With a primary focus on Support at this point I am more focused on automation / devops tasks and workflow but happy to work on traditional System administration tasks. Interested in music I have played Classical music since a young boy and also a fan of theater and cinema in general .

 Employment History :

November 2012 – June 2016 – Rackspace UK

During this period I have worked in the Enterprise Support Team as a Linux System Administrator, initially as a Level 1 Sysad, and the progressing to Level 2, and taking on aditional resposabilities such as Data center Migration lead .

This role was mostly focused on the traditional LAMP stack and during this time I  had the oportunity to grow greatly as a tech and gain experience with world class support and technical support.

June 2016 – March 2017 – ServiceNow

At Servicenow I took the role of Senior Sysadmin, providing support for the infrastrucure that supports Servicenow’s Enterprise Class ITIL application. This role had a strong focus around Mysql and Tomcat, and Linux servers at a large scale.

March 2017 – January 2018 – Sky UK

As a System Reliability Engineed at Sky my role today is divided between implementation of systems that support teams of developers and their applications, and development of tools , namely Terraform providers to be used by several areas of the business to provision infrastrucure. January 2018 – Currently – Yoox Net a Porter

As a Senior Devops Engineer my role has allowed me to grow as professional, and learn new skills such as Puppet, my daily driver is still Ansible, in terms of automation technology but I have quickly picked up on alternatives as much as possible. I have been a part of several projects and teams, from front-end infrastructure to implementing new platforms, and I currently sit on the Payments team, looking out for our PCI-DSS environments. In this period I have also contributed to the Ansible project with 2 new modules, (more to come soon)
